Pull me in, oh cave of wonders
While I stumble blindly to some
Treasure long forgotten
Forbidden
As I descend, I trace
The moist walls
With my fingertips
With hopes of returning
But as I go deeper
I’m afraid of leaving
Yearning to find
The chasm where the Earth shakes
Where Life itself
Came forth
Into the sunlight
And shaped itself into
An angel
The angel who brushed my lips
With a fragrent siren song
And in one moment, frozen in time
Found all my scars now gone
